RECITAL MAKEUP
Think polished and performance-ready—not everyday, but not overdone.
Our recital makeup is designed to be simple, clean, and stage-ready so dancers’ expressions can be seen under the lights.
All dancers should come with:
-A smooth, even layer of foundation that matches their skin tone
-Blush applied to the apples of the cheeks for a natural pop of color
-Light bronzer to add warmth and definition to the face
-Mascara on the top lashes (younger dancers can skip if needed)
For older dancers:
-False lashes are encouraged for better visibility on stage
Lips:
A red lip is required for all dancers
-Please choose a shade of red that complements your dancer’s skin tone (not too dark or too bright/neon)
Additional Notes:
-Makeup should be slightly heavier than everyday wear so it shows on stage
-Avoid glitter, shimmer, or overly dramatic looks unless instructed for a specific routine
-Hair and makeup should be completed before arrival unless otherwise noted.

RECITAL HAIR
Clean, secure, and uniform—our goal is for every dancer to look polished and distraction-free on stage.
(pictured style not required but, should be close to)
All dancers are required to wear:
-A middle part
-Hair pulled back into a low bun at the nape of the neck
How to achieve the look:
-Create a clean, straight middle part
-Smooth hair back tightly using a brush or comb
-Secure into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck
-Twist hair into a bun and secure with bobby pins
-Use a hair net (recommended) to keep the bun in place
-Finish with gel or hairspray to smooth flyaways
